How we protect your WEG's data

dooyah house is operated in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main. Anyone working in a community sees only that community's data. Our backup copies are kept in the European Economic Area, and AI features such as the AI helper Doris also process data in the EU (AI transparency, German). We provide the data processing agreement and the overview of our sub-processors (both in German).

Sign in with your fingerprint or face

With a passkey you sign in with your fingerprint, face recognition or device PIN instead of typing a password. Anyone managing a WEG also protects their account with a second factor, and recovery codes help if a device is lost.

Every person in a WEG has a role: property manager (Verwalter), advisory board, owner or read-only access. The role decides what they can see and change; in the owner portal, for example, only the last four digits of an IBAN are shown.

Encrypted in transit and at rest

Everything that travels between your device and dooyah house is encrypted. Bank details and other sensitive information are additionally stored in encrypted form, so they are not kept in plain text on our side either.

Every change traceable

The WEG's change log shows who changed what and when. A wrong booking is reversed, and the original booking stays visible.

Bank statements without bank access

You import bank statements as a file, for example CSV, CAMT or PDF. Your online banking password and PIN stay with you.

Backed up, tested, maintained

We back up the database several times a day, store encrypted copies in separate locations and test the restore regularly. We monitor the backups independently of the production system.

We test and check updates before we roll them out. We keep the servers up to date with security updates on an ongoing basis.

Your data belongs to your community

You can export your WEG's data at any time. Without a Pro subscription you keep the free Basic access with no time limit, in which you can still read and export your data. On request we hand over your WEG’s data in a machine-readable format or transfer it to another provider; during a switch, dooyah house keeps running unchanged for up to 30 days, and handover and switch cost nothing extra.
