dooyah house exists because the right software didn't.

The story

The founder is a board member (Verwaltungsbeirat) of a WEG in Germany that decided to administer itself rather than hire an external property manager. After two years of Excel, mailbox archaeology and paper folders, it became clear that the available options on the market were either built for 500-unit portfolios or charged more per month than the WEG's actual administration costs.

dooyah house started as a private weekend project to fix that. It grew because other self-administering WEG board members — in two-unit buildings, classic 8-12-unit communities and larger setups — ran into the same pain.

What we believe

• The basics should be free. Master data, owner portal, document storage and a manual booking journal don't deserve a paywall. The free plan is the actual product, not a teaser.
• Self-administering WEGs deserve real software. Excel is a spreadsheet, not a system. The legally required resolution archive (Beschlusssammlung), the annual statement, the owner portal — these need a real database and an audit log, not 17 tabs in a workbook.
• AI helps, AI doesn't decide. Bank import matching, OCR for invoices and chat support are AI-assisted. Every result is a proposal you confirm. No silent automation, no automated decision-making in the sense of Art. 22 GDPR.
• Privacy is the default, not an upsell. Servers in Germany. GDPR-compliant data processing agreement. No Google Analytics, no tracking network. Passkey login by default.

Who builds this

dooyah house is operated by FloriCore Software UG (haftungsbeschränkt), a small German software company in Eggolsheim, Bavaria. The same team also builds Florivio (volunteer fire brigade administration) and Florivio Kasse (event point-of-sale). All three products share the same operational infrastructure (servers in Germany, GDPR compliance, passwordless authentication).
