Where do I enter the opening balance?

You enter it on the account itself: open the account under Banking, click “Edit” and fill in “Balance on reference date” and “Reference date”. Take the amount from your bank statement.

It is still missing on the savings account you opened in 2026, which is why its balance shows as “provisional”. Tip: if you import a CAMT or MT940 statement that contains a balance, dooyah offers to take it over directly.

What Doris reads

She looks it up before she answers

For each question Doris decides which data she needs and reads exactly that. While she works, you see what she is checking. General questions such as “what is a Wirtschaftsplan?” she answers without reading your data.

The boundaries

Doris reads, you decide

  • Nothing is written without your click. Doris suggests a work item; it is created only when you click.
  • Doris only reads the WEG you are working in. She does not read data from other WEGs.
  • Doris uses AI-assisted processing in the EU. Conversations are stored encrypted, can no longer be opened after 30 days and are deleted a week later at the latest.
  • The numbers come from your data, and the review stays with you. If information is missing, Doris says so. She gives no legal assessments.

What is Doris?

Doris is the AI helper in dooyah house for self-managed German WEGs. She answers questions about your WEG from its own data, explains terms and processes, and links to the screen in dooyah where you carry on.

How do I get Doris?

Every trial starts with Doris (beta). With Pro, you switch Doris on yourself in the settings during the beta. The free basic plan does not include Doris.

What does Doris cost?

There are no additional costs for Doris during the beta. We will tell you about the offer after the beta in good time, before anything changes.

Does Doris change my data?

Doris only reads. She does not book, reverse or match anything. The one thing that gets written is a work item Doris suggests and you create yourself by clicking “Create work item”.

Where are my questions processed, and for how long are they kept?

Doris uses AI-assisted processing in the EU. dooyah stores questions and answers encrypted. You can no longer open a conversation 30 days after it started, and we delete it no more than a week after that.

Does Doris give legal advice?

Doris explains terms and processes and says where the individual case matters. Legal assessments belong with qualified advice.
